About The Race
The Great Escape 2.0: A New Adventure Awaits
the Origin
In 2016 we organized the first Great Escape. Back then we had a 45km, an 80km and a 160km run. For many (trail)runners, it was their first encounter with ultratrails. The Escapardenne trail had just been established and was a very thankfull solution for both the race course and the race name. Over the years we had many epic editions, and also added the Walk option. And now we think it’s time for something extra…
Escape the Ordinary

The Great Escape 2.0 offers a renewed experience, combining the magnificent Escapardenne Trails with exciting new routes and distances. Our races remain “unsupported” which in general means that only Legends Trails volunteers and other participants are allowed to offer you support, but make sure to visit our FAQ page for more info.

Our other races
Bello Gallico
Our "speedy" race with a 200 & 100 km RUN and a 160 & 80 km WALK in and around the National Park "Brabantse Wouden". It is organized in the second weekend of December and also doubles as our Christmas Party.
Legends Trail
Our ultimate race, the biggest challenge Belgium has to offer on the trails. 350km in the Belgian Ardennes in winter is bound to challenge even the strongest of runners.
AOBtD
Our own version of a Last Person Standing race that is organized in the first weekend of the summer holidays in Belgium in Bierbeek. 5,959 (Legends) km have to be conquered every hour until there is only one person standing.
